Arkansas Band Changing Name after Trademark Dispute
Fayetteville, Arkansas—The band formerly known as Molten Lava and currently known as bogus Molten Lava or fake Molten Lava is pleased to announce they will change their name to “Boom Kinetic”. The switch to Boom Kinetic (formerly Molten Lava) will be accompanied by an overhaul in the websites of the band that will take place over the next two months.
In late June, Boom Kinetic received notice from another band called “Molten Lava” asking the high-energy pop band to change their name. The other band had managed to file a state trademark several days before the notice.
Boom Kinetic remains committed to providing an experience for all fans. In addition, the band will be releasing their first album in August.
During this change, the band’s websites will still remain active until we are convinced all fans have noted the change. For performances, the band will be billed as Boom Kinetic (formerly Molten Lava) for the next several months.
Thanks for all the support.

Molten Lava Fans:
Molten Lava has been asked to change our name by a band based out of Searcy, AR also called Molten Lava. Unfortunately, they were able to file a trademark (yesterday according to the State Attorney General’s website). We will now refer to them as the real Molten Lava. Until we come up with a new name, we’re the fake Molten Lava.
Fake Molten Lava (soon to be renamed).

The Eruption
The summer of 2006 was a stifling one with temperatures averaging around 106 degrees Fahrenheit and 3078 degree centigrade. Members of the scientific community were beginning to urge world leaders to take the threats of global warming seriously. Ice caps were melting, hurricanes were becoming more intense, and faces were melting in the heat of the mid-day sun. Nevertheless, more was understood about the current effects of this world-wide calamity than the cause, the meat of it. Some theories, still unproven, pointed to carbon dioxide emissions—pollution—the waste of humanity’s addiction to fossil fuels; climate change or just another up cycle in worldwide temperature; the slowing of the oceanic conveyor belt; but the truth is a phenomenon was forming whose effect worldwide was and is driving this heat. A small vent opened in the crust of our turbulent terra firma in a most unassuming place a from the steaming orange and crimson magma emerged something of terrifying magnitude whose impact will be felt by our children’s children and their children as well. And so it came forth glowing and hot, stood tall–and that thing was called … MOLTEN LAVA.
The Pyroclastic Flow
It’s night–a moonless night and you step outside to get some fresh air. Suddenly, a flash…bang…it’s bright. The sun’s out. It’s the middle of the night. How could this be? Everything is illuminated. It’s the sun–in the middle of the night? It gets brighter and brighter and warmer and hotter. This is not the sun. Worldwide the atmosphere is burning off the surface of the earth, the ocean are boiling. You look at your plants burst into flames and gasp as you take one last hot breath and collapse into ashes. You’ve just experienced a gamma ray bust. A dying star millions of light years away has emitted this terrible stream of photons. Earth just happened to be in the way……………….. In 2006, Molten Lava was formed with one goal in mind–to give everyone who listened to them a life changing experience through music. The band started as a pure 80’s pop group featuring Wiley Seeger, Zach Gump, Aaron Schauer, Miguel Gamboa, and Greg Guillot. In a matter of just weeks the band became a must-have of the Arkansas society–if you want to have a party, you hire Molten Lava.
Soon, the success of the band translated from the private into the public. The scope moved beyond Arkansas and into the surrounding areas. The Lava was and is packing out every show at every venue they play, including a wildly successful and sold out concert at Gilleys in
In February 2008, the band released a demo version of the song “Girl With a Gamma Ray” as a free download and stream on their myspace page to great fanfare. The band entered the studio in April of 2008 to begin working on their first album. Four crazy days at Vibe 56 Studio have yielded three solid songs including the full version of “Gamma Ray”, “I Now Declare This a Disaster Area”, and “Goodbye is a Numbers Game”. Keyboardist Schauer says, “It’s a solid EP. Certainly the most solid thing I’ve ever recorded and I think the other guys would agree–it’s the best things they’ve ever done.” There can be no doubt God’s gift to the entertainment experience has arrived on earth. With music and a show that is well branded and highly marketable, it’s no wonder Molten Lava success seems to be a juggernaut moving at super sonic speed; like a gamma ray burst. Earth just happened to be in the way. You’re welcome Earth!
